 Instructions for Peer Reviewers
Ann Clin Neurophysiol reviews all received materials. Manuscripts are sent to the three most relevant investigators, for reviews of the contents. The editor selects referees results of the review will be classified as follows;
Accepted: The manuscript will be forwarded to the publisher without further corrections.
Minor revisions: The author should address the comments from the reviewers, which will be confirmed by the reviewers before being sent to the publisher.
Major revisions: The author should address the comments from the reviewers and make the appropriate corrections for review by the three reviewers.
Rejection: When one of the reviewers rejects the manuscript, editorial committee will invite another reviewer for final decision.
The editorial office first reviews a manuscript for its format and adherence to the aims and scope of ACN. If the manuscript meets these two criteria, it is dispatched to two reviewers. All manuscripts are run through the CrossCheck to detect plagiarism. If a manuscript is suspected of plagiarism, the editors will contact the authors for explanation. In the peer-review process, authors’ names and affiliations are blinded, and the results of the CrossCheck are sent to reviewers. The reviewing process generally takes 3 weeks. Revisions may be required before the paper is finally accepted. Revision addressing reviewers’ comments and critiques does not necessarily guarantee the acceptance of the manuscript. The acceptance of a manuscript is based on the quality and originality of the research and its significance in the field of clinical neurology and neuroscience. Failure to resubmit the revised manuscript within the indicated time is regarded as a withdrawal. A final decision on acceptance/rejection for publication is forwarded to the corresponding author by the editor.
